Aces and Kings Strategy: Master the Two Directions
Most solitaire games have you building in one direction. Aces and Kings keeps you thinking in two at the same time: up from Ace and down from King. It's uniquely challenging and uniquely rewarding.
Keep Ace and King Foundations Balanced
Neglecting one side to focus on the other will trap you every time. Try to make roughly equal progress on Ace-up and King-down foundations throughout the game.
Moving Between Foundations Is Often Necessary
Unlike most games, you can move the top card of any foundation to another foundation if it follows the building rule. This is often the only way to free up a card you need elsewhere.
Tableau and Reserve Cards Are Temporary
Cards in the tableau and reserves are just passing through on their way to foundations. Don't get attached to their arrangement; if a move makes sense, make it.
The Stock Runs Out: Play Every Card Like It Counts
There's no recycling the stock. When it's empty, the game is over whether you've won or not. Every draw from the stock should feel intentional.
