About Minesweeper

Minesweeper hides mines under covered squares and uses numbers to show how many mines touch each revealed cell. The goal is to open every safe square without triggering a mine.

You win when all non-mine cells are revealed!

How to Play

  • Reveal a cell: Left-click on any cell
  • Flag a mine: Right-click on a cell to mark it as a suspected mine
  • Chord: Click on a revealed number to reveal all adjacent cells (if flags are placed correctly)

Numbers

When you reveal a cell, it shows a number indicating how many mines are in the 8 surrounding cells.

Difficulty

  • Easy: 9x9 grid with 10 mines - great for beginners
  • Medium: 16x16 grid with 40 mines - balanced challenge
  • Hard: 30x16 grid with 99 mines - for experienced players

Tips

  • Start with corners or edges - they're statistically safer
  • Use the numbers to deduce where mines are
  • Flag cells you're certain contain mines
