About Scorpion Solitaire

Scorpion Solitaire is a hard solitaire game from the Spider family, but it plays more like Yukon. You move any face-up card together with the cards below it, trying to form four same-suit sequences from King down to Ace.

Unlike Yukon, Scorpion builds only down in the same suit, so good play is about exposing hidden cards without locking whole stacks. Empty columns can only be filled with a King or a sequence led by a King.

If you enjoy Spider or Yukon, Scorpion is a natural next challenge. It is shorter than Spider, but it punishes poor sequencing and wasted empty columns quickly.

How to Play

Goal

Build four complete same-suit sequences from King down to Ace. You win when all four suits are arranged into full King-to-Ace runs.

Setup

The game starts with 49 cards in seven columns. The first four columns have three face-down cards and four face-up cards; the last three columns are fully face up. Three cards remain in the stock.

Moves

  • Build down by suit: for example, 8 of hearts can move onto 9 of hearts.
  • Any face-up card can be moved, carrying every card below it as one stack.
  • Empty columns can only be filled by a King or a stack led by a King.

Stock

When you need more cards, click the stock to deal the three reserve cards onto the first three columns. The stock can only be used once.
