Yukon

About Yukon

Yukon feels like Klondike without the stock: most cards are on the tableau from the start. You can move stacks even when the internal order is messy, as long as the leading card fits the destination.

The main challenge is uncovering face-down cards without creating a pile that cannot move. Empty columns are powerful, but only when you can use them for kings or important sequences.

Alaska is a close Yukon variant that allows building both up and down in the same suit. Yukon is more direct; Alaska gives more flexibility but more ways to trap yourself.

How to Play

Goal

Move all cards to the four foundation piles at the top. Build each foundation up by suit from Ace to King.

How to Win

You win when all 52 cards are sorted into the four foundations!

Setup

All 52 cards are dealt to the 7 tableau columns. Unlike other games, there is no stock pile - all cards are in play from the start!

How to Play

  • Tableau to Tableau: Place cards in descending order with alternating colors
  • Tableau to Foundation: Build up by suit from Ace to King
  • Empty columns: Only Kings can be placed in empty columns

The Yukon Special Rule

Unlike Klondike, you can move any face-up card along with ALL cards on top of it, even if they're not in sequence!

This makes Yukon more strategic and often more solvable than other solitaire games.

Quick Moves

Double-click a card to automatically move it to a foundation pile if possible.
