About Wordle

Wordle is a word puzzle where you try to identify a five-letter word in a limited number of guesses. Color feedback after each guess shows which letters are correct, misplaced, or absent.

A strong opener tests common vowels and consonants. After the first clues, narrow the possibilities systematically instead of reusing letters that have already been ruled out.

How to Play

Goal

Guess the hidden 5-letter word in 6 attempts. After each guess, the tiles change color to show how close your guess was.

Tile Colors

  • Green — The letter is in the correct position.
  • Yellow — The letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
  • Gray — The letter is not in the word.

Tips

  • Only valid English words are accepted as guesses.
  • Use the on-screen keyboard or your physical keyboard to type.
  • Start with a word that uses common letters like E, A, R, I, O, T, N, S.
