About Accordion

Accordion is a card puzzle about choosing what stays visible. Every merge changes the distances between the remaining piles. Start with Open mode to plan with all 52 cards in view, or choose Deal as you go for a gradually growing sequence.

How to Play

Start with a single deck

Bring all 52 cards into one pile. In Deal as you go, the stock must also be empty.

Open shows the full deck. Deal as you go begins with one card; you may deal another at any time, even when moves are available. There is no stock recycling or forced move.

Choose an adjacent move or a leap

Move a whole pile one or three positions earlier when its top card matches the destination's top card in suit or rank. Never move right or two positions. Matching color alone does not count.

Move the entire source pile on top of its destination, keeping the source top card visible. The row closes up immediately; count occupied piles again. Covered cards stay buried.

Read left to right, then continue on the next row. Moves can cross row boundaries; count occupied piles.
