Always Know Your Maximum Move Size
The formula (empty freecells + 1) × 2^(empty columns) tells you how big a stack you can move. With 3 free cells and 1 empty column you can move 8 cards at once. Knowing this helps you plan big moves.
Uncover the Tableau Strategically
Don't just clear cards because you can. Think about which face-down cards will unlock the most flexibility. Sometimes it's worth sacrificing a quick win to reveal a card that frees up three others.
