Spider Solitaire Strategy: How to Win More Often
Spider Solitaire is a game where luck plays a bigger role than you might think, but the decisions you make still matter. Here's how to make the most of every deal.
Only Deal When You're Stuck
Dealing new cards resets your progress on existing columns. Only click that stock pile when you genuinely have no other moves left. Many games are won by holding off just one more turn.
Empty Columns Are Your Best Asset
An empty column gives you a fresh start anywhere in the tableau. Use it to stage cards you're not ready to play yet, or to move a King into position when you need to access the card underneath.
Build Same-Suit Runs Whenever Possible
In 1-suit games this is obvious, but in 2-suit and 4-suit games, any same-suit run you build is a huge advantage when you get it to the foundation. Prioritize building these even if it means temporarily pausing other progress.
Don't Clear the Last Hidden Card Too Fast
When a column has one face-down card left, think carefully before exposing it. That card might be the one you need to unlock a critical move elsewhere. Clear columns strategically, not just because you can.
