Should I play Draw 1 or Draw 3?
Draw 1 is easier to win at roughly 31% for skilled players, but Draw 3 is significantly harder at around 1%. Draw 1 is better for learning the game; Draw 3 rewards deep planning.
What is the best strategy for Klondike?
Prioritize flipping face-down cards in the tableau over building foundations. Empty tableau columns are valuable real estate, so use them wisely. Save foundation building for when no other moves remain.
Why can only Kings fill empty columns?
Tableau columns must be built down in descending rank order with alternating colors. Since a King is the highest card, nothing can legally go above it in an empty column, making it the only valid choice.
